Navigating Rising Fuel Costs: An Update for Our Customers
Posted by Ward Packaging on Mon, 23 Mar 2026

To our Valued Customers,

Due to the ongoing Middle East conflict, fuel prices have risen sharply across WA. Diesel prices have spiked by over 50% since late February and are continuing to rise affecting our delivery costs enormously.

As a result, effective Wednesday 25th of March 2026, Wards will introduce a basic Fuel Levy of $4.50 per delivery for CBD deliveries.

A sliding levy will be charged for outer CBD deliveries covering North of Butler, East of Midland and South of Kelmscott. Our review on outer areas will be determined by distance, and the levy will range from between $6.50 and $15.00.

We will review the situation closely using data from the ACCC Weekly Fuel Price report below.

ACC Fuel Price Chart Feb/Mar 2026

Should diesel fuel prices return to February 2026 levels we will waive the CBD Levy, however if diesel prices continue to increase we will review the situation and update our levy accordingly.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact our office.

We appreciate your understanding and continued support.
